Braided connectors
Braided connectors are highly flexible elements designed for power transmission. Their flexibility makes them exceptionally durable against switching surges, oscillations, and vibrations.
Braided connectors are made up of interlaced individual copper wires (0.1 to 0.2 mm). The ends are crimped in bushings or cable lugs and can be processed into custom connectors according to specific customer requirements. Depending on these requirements, the surface can be left untreated or coated with silver or tin. When insulated, braided connectors can also be manufactured in cable form.
Braided connectors come in two main designs: flat and round braids. Flat braids are ideal for use in tight spaces, while round braided connectors offer the advantage of flexibility in all directions, allowing them to absorb powerful external forces. These connectors are widely used in mechanical and plant engineering, energy distribution, and automotive engineering.
Applications:
- In machines and switchgears
- In vehicles
- In electroplating
- As a secondary conductor during resistance welding
- As an earth connector
