The Insulated Suspension Chain (ISC) offers a straightforward solution for rapidly and simply increasing the operating voltage of power lines. Typically, voltage increases can result in lengthy planning approval processes and significant investment costs if the towers need to be modified. However, with the ISC (German: iTAK – isolierte Tragabspannkette), the existing towers and suspension points can remain unchanged, allowing the continued use of the current infrastructure (poles). Additionally, the ISC provides an excellent solution to meet bird protection requirements.
